Everyone is always eager to make resolutions for the coming year when New Year’s Day rolls around. Unfortunately, not everyone sticks to their resolutions. Since my new year’s resolution is usually “exercise more often,” which I often fail to do, I decided that this year would be different.
This year, I’m going to be truly dedicated to achieving my resolution. I’ve made a detailed action plan, and I’ll be posting weekly updates regarding my progress with my goals! Check back here often to see how I’m doing, and hopefully this can serve as motivation for you to also keep your new year’s resolutions! I also made a YouTube video where I describe my resolution in detail:
New Year’s Resolution: Become more physically fit
Rationale: I don’t work out regularly. I am satisfied with my body weight, but this is bad for my body. I want to make a healthy lifestyle change. I also would like to tone specific areas of by body to feel better in a bathing suit. I also have terrible endurance, and want to be able to run for longer than one minute without getting tired.
What it Entails: Developing stronger muscles, toning various areas of my body, and developing more endurance
Specific Goals: Get abs, tone arms, tone thighs, and be able to run/jog for 5 minutes straight
- Do crunches 5 times per week (start at 25/day)
- Do squats 5 times per week (start at 20/day)
- Do arms 3 times per week
- Do cardio exercises twice per week (start at 20 minutes of cardio)
- Do stretches/yoga twice per week
I’m going to be keeping specific track of each day’s activities and writing summary posts once per week. I really think that this will keep me motivated, and that everything will be worth it in the end! Today was my official start day of my resolution, so my first post will be one week from now!
